Some of the most powerful fruits and veggies to juice include celery, cucumbers, green apples, limes and lemons. I also include these detox herbs such as parsley and cilantro. Be sure to mix and match with these greens for more cancer fighting power: kale, spinach, dandelion, ginger, and bok choy.
It is best to keep sweeter fruits and vegetables out of the loop to maintain low sugar levels. I would not add more than 1 small apple or five carrots into a single serving of fresh juice. If you plan on juicing high sugar fruits and vegetables, be sure to combine them with foods that contain citric acid. This would be fruits such as lemons or limes which reduce the glycemic load and will lower the inflammatory effects of sugar in the fruit.

Ginger Lemon Juice:
Some of the best juicers are those that will not destroy the nutrients. This type of juicer is called the Masticating Juicer which is also called a cold press juicer. It is quieter and a bit slower but worth the health benefits. My favorite masticating juicer is the Omega J8006. It is very affordable and the quality is outstanding.
